Embroidery Kits and Teaching – Historic Designs, Historic Techniques

Pic17Welcome to the wonderful world of medieval embroidery!  All of my designs are based upon historical sources ranging from embroideries, illuminated manuscripts and stonework.  The stitching used throughout the embroideries is the stitch used in the 11th Century Bayeux Tapestry.  Careful attention has been paid to the historical sources and inform my choice of colour, right down to the direction of the stitching where possible.

The chainmail weave is an authentic medieval weave popular in medieval Europe.  It is replicated using smaller links and incorporated into embroidery design.  All kits come with everything you need to complete the design, historical background and ongoing personal support.  Tutorials are also available under the Tutorials tab!
